The four glass-walled units are named after the trees beside which they were built. Tucked among giant boulders at the base of the Mahlare Mountain, they offer basic, no-frills overnight stays for hikers, climbers, and adventurers.
Each hut features a private boma with its own braai grid — perfect for outdoor cooking and campfire stories. Ablution facilities include two reed-enclosed, open-air showers (heated by wood-fired “donkeys”) and two flush toilets, fondly known as “loos with views.” Winding concrete walkways connect the camp, but the terrain may be challenging for families with babies or very small children, as it’s not suitable for prams or strollers.
