Thabaphaswa is home to over 105 indigenous tree species, making it a unique destination for botanists, nature lovers, and the simply curious. Whether you’re an amateur tree-spotter or an experienced dendrologist, our sanctuary offers endless opportunities to observe, identify, and learn.

You’ll encounter everything from the towering Faidherbia albida (Ana tree) to delicate wild olive, and seasonal gems like the Pterocarpus rotundifolius (Round-leaved Teak).
Interpretive signage along key trails highlights interesting facts, and quiet observation benches are located in shaded glades for sketching or note-taking.
